pmpgenesis’ partnerships division worked with Odeon to create a unique sponsorship platform for RIAS, a specialist insurer for over 50s, to engage with potential customers. Odeon ‘Senior Screen’, a season of films for mature guests, was launched in October 2006 and RIAS began sponsoring the initiative in May 2007. This first time sponsorship provided a unique opportunity to create a long term and relevant presence in a cinema environment. pmpgenesis managed the logistics and sponsorship content of the partnership.
pmpgenesis helped Skanska deliver a winning bid in Bristol by developing proposals for school and community use of sport and leisure facilities at four schools in the area pmpgenesis demonstrated how Bristol’s strategic outcomes would be delivered through sport and leisure provision, supported by:
pmpgenesis worked with Totally Truro Business Improvement District to create a series of first time city sponsorship platforms for companies to sponsor a number of major events within Truro’s annual events programme. These include the 2009 Christmas in Truro Festival and the 2009 and 2010 Music Truro Festival. Sponsorship packages included headline sponsorship and official partner categories.
pmpgenesis was the lead advisor on the feasibility of a new 20,000 community stadium. Working closely with Donaldsons (now DTZ), our role was to identify and deliver the enabling retail and commercial development and set up the SPV ownership and stadium management vehicles.
pmpgenesis was appointed by Wycombe District Council in June 2008 to provide independent analysis and advice on the viability of proposed funding and operational solutions for a new 25,000 seat stadium.
pmpgenesis was appointed to develop a Healthier Lifestyles Strategy for Ashfield District Council. This strategy deals primarily with sport and physical activity but also includes an assessment of services for nutrition/healthy eating. The purpose of the strategy is to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents by raising levels of awareness of the health benefits of physical activity, increasing opportunities for residents to take part, developing the local infrastructure for sport and physical activity and strengthening local partnerships.
pmpgenesis undertook a leisure assets review for Renfrewshire council, delivering an outline business case for a £36million leisure facility development programme. The development programme will include the refurbishment and redevelopment of a number of the authority’s main leisure centres that are managed and operated by Renfrewshire Leisure Ltd.
pmpgenesis completed a detailed assessment of open space, sport and recreation facilities on behalf of Manchester City Council. The study included an audit of all existing open, space, sport and recreation facilities and extensive public consultation, including a household survey, internal consultations with Council officers and stakeholder workshops. Over 1200 sites were identified during the audit process.
pmpgenesis supported Gloucester City Council in its successful £10 million lottery application for the redevelopment of the Gloucester Leisure Centre. pmpgenesis has since worked with the Council to identify and deliver operational improvements leading to the creation of a new Leisure and Cultural Trust (Aspire) in 2008 for the facilities in Gloucester and delivering financial and service improvements. Our work has involved business planning, operational and service reviews, performance analysis and development across the key sites in the city.
Having advised Sainsbury’s on the refurbishment of the Riverside Leisure Centre in Exeter, including the negotiation of a 10 year contract with Parkwood Leisure (saving Sainsbury’s in excess of £200,000 per annum), pmpgenesis has undertaken the contract management since 2000.
